The decisions for beekeeping subsidies for 2024 have been signed, defining the beneficiaries and the amounts they are entitled to per hive.
Action 3-1: Financial Support for Nomadic Beekeeping
The subsidy is €5 per movable hive. Beekeepers who lost 50% or more of their hives due to natural disasters in 2023 are entitled to €7.50 per hive, based on the number of hives they had before the disaster. If the loss is less than 50%, they receive €5 per hive, plus an additional amount for each lost hive.
The payment of the subsidy will be made by OPEKEPE into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries by October 15, 2024.
In total, the subsidies are €17-24 per hive (for transportation facilitation) and €5-7.50 (for hive replacement), plus €6 per hive for mobile bases.
Action 3-2: Equipment for Facilitating Movement Beekeepers who purchase new replacement hives are entitled to €17 per hive. If they lost 50% or more of their hives due to natural disasters, they can receive up to €24 per hive, based on the number of hives before the disaster.
Additionally, the subsidy for the purchase of mobile bases for hives is set at €6 per base.
This subsidy payment will also be made by OPEKEPE by October 15, 2024.
