Just a short drive from Athens International Airport, we leave the city behind and spend a few hours in a traditional olive grove and vineyard in Markopoulo — surrounded by trees, vines, wild flowers and the sounds of the countryside.
This is a relaxed, outdoor experience built around some of the things that make Greece special: honey, olive oil, local food, farming and nature.
We begin with a guided tasting of five Greek honeys, exploring their different aromas, flavours and origins. You will also discover the world of the beekeeper through real hives, honeycombs, tools and equipment, while learning how honey is produced — from the flowers to the jar.
Then we taste two olive oil varieties from the farm, with an introduction to the olive trees, harvesting and traditional olive oil production.
Depending on the season, there is also something special to taste from the land — perhaps fresh figs, asparagus, moustalevria, traditional moustokouloura or local cheese.

Honey and Olive Oil Tasting
We then take a walk through the olive grove and vineyard, learning about traditional farming methods and the seasonal life of the land.
Along the way, we look beyond the cultivated fields and discover the wild side of the Attica countryside — wild flowers, herbs, plants, insects and the biodiversity of this Mediterranean landscape.

Honey and Olive Oil Tasting in our farm

Tasting honey and olive oil
There is no formal tasting room and no staged setting.
We sit and walk outdoors, among olive trees and vines, with the smells, sounds, tastes and changing colours of the countryside around us.
Think of it as a Greek countryside picnic with a guided tasting, a little storytelling and plenty of nature.
A chance to slow down, taste local products, learn where they come from and experience a quieter, more natural side of Greece — only a short distance from Athens.
